![]() Training Toward Maturity is a program dedicated to increasing the success of the Lord's work in Papua New Guinea by educating Church leaders. The primary people behind TTM are Fred and Sandy Burrows, experienced missionaries who have spent much of the past 20 years living in and studying both the culture of and the work taking place in Papua New Guinea. Through observation, discussion, and surveys they have discovered something that the Church sorely needs: short term, intensive training for Church leaders that does not disrupt their daily lives for long periods of time.
To fulfill this need we conduct week-long classes in three major population centers in Papua New Guinea. Fred and Sandy are currently part of the teaching staff at Ohio Valley Christian College in Parkersburg, West Virginia, where they are working with the rest of the professors to design curricula that will be complete, applicable, and tailored to the culture and needs of Papua New Guinea. Topics include:
Teaching trips are made about four times per year by groups of three to six people led by Fred and Sandy.
